The water-mixable oil paints from the Mont Marte series can be diluted with water, eliminating the need for traditional thinners like linseed oil and turpentine. Similar to traditional Mont Marte oil paints, they feature a high pigment concentration, good viscosity, and high lightfastness. These paints can be applied with both a palette knife and a brush, allowing for impasto techniques. However, they can also be thinned with water to achieve watercolor-like effects. When working with them, you can use both traditional oil paint additives and those that don’t require solvents.
